After a few revisions I finally approved the patches today 😌🤌 The photos are from the manu of course so the lighting is not the best but they turned out great! Mass production has begun on these and should be finished in a week or two.
Hey guys! Just wanted to give a small update letting you know the current timeline for manufacturing. Thank you for everyone who got your surveys submitted super quickly.
Note: If you have not received a survey yet it is more likely due to having an errored payment when the Kickstarter ended. Backerkit records your payment initially as errored but will update a week or two after payment is fixed and send out your survey at that time.
Since about 75% of the surveys have been completed, I was able to send an accurate count to my pin manufacturer for production. Currently, we are finalizing the artwork to make sure there are no issues. Once the production artwork is approved, the pins will begin production (estimated start date is Monday). My rep estimates these will be finished around the end of February but they will also be taking holiday at the end of January so I'm counting on March for a finish date.
Patches have also been paid for. I am currently waiting on samples to be sent over for approval. These will take the shortest amount of time for production (estimated to be completed end of January).
Lastly, stickers have been ordered as well. I am using a small business for the vinyl stickers so these may take a bit longer to produce but will still arrive plenty in time.
Keep in mind these dates are just an estimate. I usually get rewards sent over well in advance however if there are any issues/delays I'll keep you guys updated!

Once I get about 75% of the surveys in I'll have a more accurate count and be able to place the order with my manufacturer before their upcoming holiday. The factory I use takes about two weeks off at the end of January so I'd like to get the ball rolling as soon as possible.

As mention in previous updates, I'll be using BackerKit for surveys. One of the cool features of Backerkit is the ability to set additional stretch goals and add ons. If you missed any pins from the campaign, you'll be able to pre order them through backerkit to add to your current rewards.
We will have TWO additional pin stretch goals on Backerkit for this collection. I really couldn't decide between a crow and a duck so I'll be adding both.
These will need 25 each preorders to be made. If 25 isn't hit for a design, it will not be made and your card will not be charged if you preorder it.
I also took the time to turn 3 of the more popular designs in patches. The Goose, Seagull, and Bluebird patches will be available as add-ons through backerkit as well. These fully embroidered patches will be 3" in diameter and have an iron-on backing.
The first batch of surveys will be going out tomorrow. If you don't get an email tomorrow, don't fret -- I'll be sending them out over the course of the next few days. Please be sure if you have an errored payment with Kickstarter that it is fixed asap so I can send out your survey.

With the campaign ending this afternoon, Kickstarter should have charged your card by now. If for whatever reason your payment has declined, you will have one week to fix your payment information with Kickstarter or your rewards will be forfeited.
Surveys will be through backerkit! You'll receive an email in the next week or so where you will be able to choose which pins you'd like as well as purchase any last minute add-ons.
As mentioned in my last update, I will be adding patches as an add-on via backerkit. I'm working on turning some of the birds into patch friendly designs and will share them in the next update. As of right now the goose and seagull are the top voted designs for them, so they will definitely be patches!
Lastly, with my past few campaigns I've also done an additional stretch goal pin on Backerkit so I am thinking of adding one more final bird. I'll be throwing up a poll on my Instagram stories if you'd like to vote.
